Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is it ok to use wood logs in the Fire Pit?

A. Yes. For best results, use dry, seasoned wood that has been split and cut to a length of 16 inches or less, so it fits within the Fire Pit bowl.

Q. How do I clean out the ash from the bottom of the Fire Pit?

A. Once the Fire Pit has completely cooled, remove the center cone and carefully sweep ash inside the Fire Pit through the bottom holes. Then, pull out the ash pan by its handle and dispose of the ash per your local laws/regulations.

Q. Are there handles on the Fire Pits?

A. The handles for the Patio Fire Pit are integrated into the design of the Fire Pit. The handles, which make it easier to move the Fire Pit, can be found underneath the outer section of the top ring. Because of the size of the Patio Fire Pit, it should be moved by two people. The Fire Pit handles get very hot during use, so only move the Fire Pit once it has completely cooled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and works great! The Tiki fire-pit is not only looks great on our patio, but it works really well. The fire pit is truly low smoke and burns hot. No more smelling like a bonfire. I LOVE that it came with a stand AND a cover. The fire pit is really well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in every way. Awesome fire pit! Easy set up and pellets give you a beautiful 30 minute fire.
Date published: 2022-05-23
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice pit but not so great finished product It seems as if the outside was not set right. If you look down from the top of the fire pit it sticks out one side meaning the black rings that go around stick out larger on one side than the other. It’s larger such that it sticks out more than the top of the fire pit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiki Great fire pit and it is as much smokeless as it can be
Date published: 2022-05-11
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage if you like a real fire This fire pit is poorly designed. It does not provide the proper airflow to keep a fire alive and you will not have a good time. If it does burn, it’s really only creating embers that don’t make a good fire to hang around, just burning your wood slowly through the night. My friends actually tease me for buying it because it’s not even smokeless, you will struggle to get it to light, and when you finally do, it doesn’t put off any heat. If you plan on using the pellets they sell, you may enjoy it but those last 30 minutes and don’t put off any warmth either. You can go to Home Depot and get a better fire pit for about 100 bucks. If you are a camper or hiker, enjoy a nice fire with friends, this isn’t the one for you. I even have issues getting starter logs to light in this thing. I vacuum it out before any use to make sure nothing is clogging the airflow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Firepit Great firepit -- I love it. Unlike my old smoke monster firepit, there is almost no smoke. I have had guests over twice since I bought it and everyone has said how great it looks and they like it because it's smoke free. One guy said his kids had given him a Solo, which he hadn't used, and he now wants to return it and get the Tiki. LOL!
Date published: 2022-05-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly suggest this! Works fantastic, it burns the wood so well and efficiently. You don’t have to sit and poke the fire the entire time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding fire pit Amazing Fire Pit. Very easy to use. Secure and warm
Date published: 2022-04-21
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eh, not worth the hype After extensive research and reading of reviews of smokeless fire pits, we settled on buying a Tiki fire pit. It came with one wood pellet pack (cost prohibitive to use this every time, especially for fires >30 mins) and that was low-smoke, but then we used regular firewood and it was just as smoky as any other fire pit. It was really disappointing for the price especially. I think the Solo fire pit works better though looks much uglier and the Tiki is easier to clean. But again, for the price I wanted so much more!! If I had to do it all over again, I would just buy a cheap fire pit from Lowes and call it a day by conceding to smelling like smoke and that smoke-less is a unicorn.
Date published: 2022-04-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fire pit Just as advertised. Pellet packs burn 30-35 min. Nice flame and very little smoke
Date published: 2022-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blazing Best fire pit ever! Smoke is less, as long as your fire wood is dry and at least 6 months old, thats key! I love how this fire pit comes with stand cover and tray to remove the ashes!
Date published: 2022-04-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tiki arrived quick, looks exactly as advertised. Still get an average amount of smoke when using wood but not unexpected. Would recommend
Date published: 2022-04-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy another or two. Fast shipping good qua Love the looks, Function better than I thought, Love how portable it is
Date published: 2022-04-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fire pit you will use! Tiki makes it so easy to have a fire at home. The fire packs and the low/no smoke are awesome. I also love not having to mind the fire for hours.
Date published: 2022-04-02
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best bang for your buck I would have given an average rating, because it is an average product - but dipped down to ‘fair’ due to the pricing. I tried it three separate times in case it was an issue with weather or something else - but I got just as much smoke on every occasion. No different than a standard fire pit. Plus, I’d have to say that it’s much smaller than the advertisement makes it seem - so if you are going to buy one, size up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great; doesn't last long. Pellets lasted 22 mins; wood needs to be trimmed to fit in. But heat and looks are great!
Date published: 2022-03-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love with our firepit Love this firepit. Works great and stays new looking, fire after fire. Buy it, you will not regret it.
Date published: 2022-03-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with our tiki fire pit! I have only used the fire pit once but I'm really impressed! It was between tiki and the solo stove but I'm really happy with our choice. The fire pit kept myself and 3 others warm on a chilly evening. It's easy to move around, clean and thought it cooled down pretty quickly.
Date published: 2022-03-14
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It smoked more then I thought it would. I used wood instead of the bag and the fire pit smoked a lot. I even tried to keep the wood below the rim and it still smoked quite a bit. Not sure if I was doing something wrong but my guess is the wood has to be completely dry for it not to smoke or smoke very little. It was definitely smokeless with the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Researched and Considered All Brands I researched and considered all brands of fire pits and decided on the Tiki brand because of it’s black exterior with horizontal spacing that gives off a mid-century vibe. It’s less “industrial” looking than other brands looks like it belongs with modern and/or mid-century architecture. It’s very solid, has a slide out tray for ashes, so you don’t have to turn it over, and a nice weather protection cover. I’m thrilled with this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Fire Pit Ever I am not one to write reviews, but this fire pit is amazing. The easy of getting a good virtually smoke free fire going means we are using it so much more. We are having a lot of great family time hanging out by the fire. Nothing beats a real fire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and sturdy Our last fire pit (not Tiki) lasted all of ten minutes before the legs broke off, yes, we're hard on things. We've now had our Tiki pit for 6+ months, I really think it's the last fire pit we'll ever have to buy!

Questions & Answers

Our local ordinance requires a covered fire pit. Does this come with a cover to keep the fire "enclosed" for our ridiculous rules?

Asked by: Wisgirl97

Can I open up the bags and use less pellets to reduce the height of flames? The fire rise too high for comfort under my big tree.

Asked by: Californian
Thanks for the question! The Wood Packs are designed for one-time use and should not be opened and split up. If you desire more control over the flame size, you can use wood logs and add more or less based on preference. Flames may reach a height of 3 feet above the top of the Fire Pit. Further, the Fire Pit should not be used under a patio roof, any low-hanging branches, trellises, or overhangs of any kind, including covered porches. We hope this helps. -TIKI Brand

Do you remove the cone AFTER the wood pellets have burned so you can lay a log flat on the pit? IF you don’t use bag o pellets rather you use dura flame type log- do you remove the cone?

Asked by: MaryA
Thanks for your question! If you've started your fire in the TIKI Fire Pit with the Wood Pack and want to keep the fire going with dry, seasoned firewood, do not remove the center cone as it will be extremely hot. Simply add firewood that is split and cut less than 16" in length on top of or to the side of the center cone. If you are using dry, seasoned firewood, you may remove the cone prior to starting the fire. We hope this helps! - TIKI Brand

Hello, in comparison to your competitors (Solo Bonfire, Breeo X-19); all things being equal where do you place this smokeless/ low-smoke fire pit in regards to the level of smoke output; less, more, about the same? Thank you.

Asked by: Rxzruby
Thanks for the question. Smoke and ash level in general is dependent upon the wood used (we recommend our Wood Pack or dry, seasoned wood) and other varying burn conditions. This is why we created the Wood Pack along with our patented airflow technology in the Fire Pit to create a low smoke fire when used together. We hope this helps. – TIKI Brand

For a twist, try making a Pudgie Pie S'more. Place cut firewood in your Fire Pit and grease a pudgie pie iron generously. Put a slice of bread in one side of the greased pudgie pie iron, spread chocolate or hazelnut, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs and add 1-2 marshmallows. Top with another slice of bread and close the iron. Cook over the fire for just 1 minute, turning occasionally. Open up the iron carefully and enjoy the ooey, gooey goodness!
