All burned up.
I have owned my Tiki Firepit for a few years now and totally enjoy the convience of the pellets fire bags. Drop in the bag, light the corners and WOOSH, sit back and enjoy the dancing flames, its smokeless, and its a good way to get other fuels light (wood). Only have 1 complaint, When it rains, the cover collapses in and holds water.

Packs rip easily
Ordered a 4 pack, 3 of the four packs were ripped and pellets were all over the place inside the box. Since the packs are in a paper product they could not be repared, however I was able in due time to get the 3 damaged packs to about 2/3 full. The rips were too large to get any fuller.

Nice to have around for the occasional use.
Nine times out of ten we burn seasoned hardwood in our fire pit because we spend at least a couple hours around the fire but if we’re looking at less time we’ll use a bag augmented by fire bricks. It a stretch to say you get thirty minutes of pleasurable fire out of a bag by itself although at it’s peak it’s an impressive fire. We’ve discovered that putting two fire bricks, one on either side of the cone, and laying the bag so that its ends cover the bricks, you get about a hour of a decent fire with pretty much the same effect as the bag by itself. I just ordered some bags on sale. That combined with the much more affordable fire bricks helps to take the sting out of the price. All that being said, if you have the time and can make the effort, seasoned hardwood is the way to go. It’s a great fire pit, ours recently made better by the addition of the heat deflector.

Are there any plans to sell more fire packs in bulk at discounted price? I love them, but they're incredibly pricey as a 4 pack.

What is the best method for long burn times with multiple bags? Each lasts rough 30min. By the time I add a 3rd around the 1hr mark, there's still decent amount of pellets but the flame dies down quickly. It's cleaned after every single use and cone in.

Hi--My grandkids love s'mores, but I'm a little concerned about the composition of the Tiki wood pellets and bags for roasting marshmallows. Do the chemicals in the Tiki wood pellets (and bags) provide a safe fire to cook marshmallows for s'mores?

If cooking over the TIKI Brand Fire Pit and Wood Pack, wait until flames die down and the wood pellets begin to form glowing coals. The flames are too high for comfort for me in my tree lined patio in my desert climate. It was a raging fire using the pellet bag with at least 4 feet of flame outside the can. Can I open up the bag and use less pellets to reduce flame height ?
Thanks for the question! The Wood Packs are designed for one-time use and should not be opened and split up. The Fire Pit should not be used closer than 15 feet to any walls, structures, or buildings, and should not be placed on any combustible surface. Flames may reach a height of 4 feet above the top of the Fire Pit. Further, the Fire Pit should not be used under a patio roof, any low-hanging branches, trellises, or overhangs of any kind, including covered porches. We hope this helps. -TIKI Brand

Is there a shelf life for the packs? I live in LA and don’t use my pit as often. I have a box that is about a year old. It was kept in a clean and dry location.

Is there any type of fuel on the pellets. Advertisement states; sawdust made into pellets. Is there anything that makes them burn, there is a scent when burning that smells gas like. Thank you

Can I burn logs and not use the pellets?
Thank you for your question. You may use firewood for the Fire Pit. For best results, use dry, seasoned wood that has been split and cut to a length of 16 inches or less, so it fits within the Fire Pit bowl. -TIKI Brand
