Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish I got this fire pit to use on the patio at the back of my house because I didn't want to deal with wood and because this is much safer and cleaner. I particularly love how stylish it is and have thoroughly enjoyed it the past two weekends, and hope to enjoy it for years to come. I highly recommend it for anyone considering a fire pit purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game night We love hosting game night and we like being outdoors. This is a beautiful fire pit. Its heavy and sturdy and safer than other fire pits I've had. Its not an eyesore in the yard, crafted very well. Easy to fire up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Piece and Visually Stunning This thing is great! Took a little bit to assemble, having slight alignment issues, but once completed, along with the tabletop, it's beautiful. I also have the heating attachment, but since it's not that cold, I'll hold off for now from installing it. This thing looks and feels well made, even the lava rocks are smooth and contoured and fit nicely in the basin. Shipping was very fast, I think a could days. Prefer this much more to an actual firepit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I'm still waiting for the nights to get chilly to see how warm this will heat up our patio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium quality, nice looking. Shipping was extremely quick and packed very well. I was pleased to see how heavy duty and high quality everything seemed to be, you can see what you're paying for. It went together very easily. Like others I feel the door should be on a hinge as I did struggle taking it on and off, but hopefully I get used to it. It gives off heat, but I would say it's more ambiance then heat, however, I didn't buy the deflector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fire Good!!! I received the fire pit a few days ago. Unpacked it and layered all the parts for assembly. The instructions are very clear and helpful. It took 2 hours to assemble from unpacking to lighting up. The base is made of heavy gauge material and it has nice finish. It is a bit heavy but at the same time it makes it very stable so it won’t blow over in windy conditions. We did get the heater attachment, which works great, it radiates heat around the seating area. We have used it 3 times this week already. It is a nice addition to our deck area. We will be enjoying the fall cool days out in the deck seating close to the nice fire. Great fire pit and well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Design and Engineering In Mind First, I want to commend the designer and engineering team for this product as there was a lot of thought behind it. Shipping: Shipping was fast and timely through FedEx. I ordered the base unit, the top, and the glass surround all of which came in separate boxes. Each piece was meticulously packaged. All of the components were packaged tightly together, with strong, durable styrofoam and plastic; none of that other packaging material turned into white snow-like shrapnel and got all over the place. Assembly: Assembly was easy to follow, pictures were well-detailed, unlike many Ikea-like instructions. One area that I greatly appreciated is every single machined screw was perfectly aligned with its pre-drilled areas. For those who are familiar with some of these projects, often the machine screws have burs preventing easy assembly and the pre-drill machined holes are off by 1/16th of an inch requiring you to muscle or almost bend certain aspects of the unit; this was not the case; it was like putting together a puzzle where each piece fit perfectly in its intended spot. One thing to note for those who ordered the TOP along with the BASE; the very last step in assembly before putting the propane tank in is there are 7 machines screwed to tighten the burner to the base; do not do this. If you have the top, when you get to this step in the base instructions, look at the top instructions. You will need to remove those 7 machined screwed to install the top; I had finished the base assembly before moving to the top and had to back up a few steps; not the end of the world, more an FYI> Features: Referencing back the designer and engineering team for a moment, great work. The two major things I appreciated that often overlooked were 1) The wheels. Great idea adding wheels for mobility purposes along with a discrete hidden support handle to move the unit around as its quite heavy. Also, these aren't cheap plastic wheels they're durable nylon and roll smoothly. For those who have had fire pits on patios or decks over the years, especially in areas where leaves fall know that over time, leaves get underneath the unit, degrade, and can oftentimes leave unsightly brown or black marks on the decking or concrete underneath. Also, I have a lawn care service that needs to move previous Fire Pits and unfortunately have scratched certain aspects of the patio by not lifting it up all the way. 2) The propane gauge. Nothing is worse than expecting friends or family over for a grill out or fire and the propane is empty and having to make a last-minute gas station run. Thank you for adding in this super simple yet convenient feature. The propane gauge is a REAL propane gauge that measures the tank pressure into the fuel line versus some of the other propane gauges you may see that utilize the weight of the tank like a spring scale; I have found those fail and this solution way more accurate. 3) The 3-part surround assembly. I wasn't 100% sure about not having a real hinged door on the fire pit for accessibility into the tank area to turn the tank off/replace it but this works. The access point to the Propane tank is built with 2 strong magnets holding the 3rd-panel door on a pivotal access point that the door "leans" on so you can get access to turn on/off the tank. If you want to replace the tank altogether, you'll need to remove the 3rd-panel door by simply lifting it off, rolling the propane tray out (there's a propane tray making it easy to access), and then replacing the panel when you're done. It's not bad but I would prefer a hinged-door as I could see potentially some problems in the longevity of the magnets and door over time. Design: The trend right now still holds strong that matte black is in and appeals to a lot of people's aesthetic. This is about as matte black as you can get so if that's your vibe, go for it. While I do appreciate the neutral color rocks that are provided instead of those dusty red fire rocks you see, I would have liked a bit more of the rock provided as it doesn't fill up my fire pit and I can still see the stainless steel burner on the bottom. I'd also maybe appreciate a few rock varieties to choose from, allowing people to pick the colors they want, maybe red is for some people, but not me. One thing to note; when I ordered the fire pit, I ordered 3rd party 1/2" reflective glass and was not able to use it. This is because the burning unit has 1/2" grates for the propane/flame to come out and if I used glass, it would fall into the burnier unit which wouldn't be ideal; you'll almost always have to use fire rock for these units. Feedback for Tiki: Overall, great product. Here are the areas I would like to see improved. 1) While the product is durable and powder-coated steel, steel rusts. I would like to see a cover for the fire pit that is eligible to be used for all aspects of the modularity system. I have the top and glass surround which means I will likely need to find a very unique or "over-sized" cover for the unit to ensure I can keep the elements off. For now, I will have to get one on Amazon. 2) The rocks that are provided in the fire pit weren't enough. There's probably enough space for another 25% within the burning unit. Also, even given the existing rocks, The provided lid to cover the rocks doesn't fit with the rocks in it. There are a few rocks that are bigger than the edge of the burning unit making the thinner lid wobbly, and uneven and rain/snow can still get inside. I would recommend a lid that has raised edging on it so it can evenly fit over the rocks. 3) The glass surround unit is gorgeous; could you imagine black reflective glass in the fire pit/ That was my goal as previously mentioned. However, The lid again doesn't fit in any shape or form. If you use the glass surround, you can't use the lid and without a Tiki Brand cover, the burning unit is exposed to the elements. I kept the original styrofoam from the box and put it in my deck box on my patio. Every time I'm done using the fire pit, I have to take the glass surround off, put the lid on to the best of my ability, and store it away. I would appreciate leaving the glass surround on it all the time. My recommendation would be to figure out a strong fabric-based fire pit cover that fits over the glass surround; I wouldn't even need to use the lid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Great quality, after setting up it seems to be well made and constructed. Looks great with the table top accessory

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice to use, but unlikely to last long Easy to build and use, nice looking, but long-lasting? Doesn't seem so. I've had this outdoors for about 2 months and it's dealt with some late-season snow and a little bit of rain, and it's already rusting in several places. The lid is shaped in a way that lets water get in with the rocks, but it won't dry out unless you remove the lid, and that area is rusting. The screws attached to the foot pads in the middle of the side pieces do not appear to be rust proof, and are rusting. The internal weld points are also rusting. If not for these rusty places, it'd probably be a long lasting product. Most of the metal is coated and seems like it'll hold up fine to weather. It's just unfortunate that a few small places are going to ruin it early, because everything else is very nice.

Can the flame be adjusted or modified with larger orifices to produce a larger flame? What is the flame height as sold?

Asked by: Ken B
Thank you for your question! Flame height on the propane pit can be adjusted via a gas flow control knob on the front of the unit. As sold, the flame is 12" to 18" tall at full gas flow. Lowering the flow of the gas will reduce flame height. We do not recommend modifying the TIKI Propane Fire Pit. As sold, the unit is certified by CSA. Modifications to the unit will nullify this certification. We hope this helps!
