Each box of BiteFighter® LED String Lights Mosquito Repellent Pods contains three replacement pods with proven mosquito repellency.* To establish a mosquito-repellent protection area, power on pod diffusers for 15 minutes prior to outdoor activity. Each repellent pod creates a protection zone of 110 square feet. Only for use with BiteFighter® LED String Lights. When used properly, pods will provide mosquito repellency for up to 200 hours.*

Rated 1 out of 5 by Paul Ashton from Time for Tiki to fess up. It’s time for Tiki to admit this is a flawed design. They work to repel mosquitoes but we’ve had some leaks and they sent us replacements which was very nice but doesn’t change the fact that they don’t perform as advertised. The pods exposed to sunlight evaporate quickly and even the ones in the shade don’t come close to working for 200 hours. We like the lights but in retrospect we wish we had bought a quality string of lights and augmented them with some of the highly effective, free standing mosquito repellers on the market. Tiki makes a lot of quality products (we love our fire pit) but it’s time to design a refillable, more affordable pod that works on the current string and cut us loyal customers a break.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Traveler from Not so great I bought this last summer thinking it's better than torches everywhere. Nope. Maybe it held some biting bugs away, but many found me. The pods must have gold in them as the refills price is very expensive. As mentioned by others, they leak and evaporate. You can't get 200 hours out of them. When I'm not using my deck at darkness, I take the pods out very carefully and cap them. It helps a little but you can't get 200 hours use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fix this awful design from Terrible design and insanely expensive Awful design! I work in packaging and whoever designed this should be fired. This product should be re-designed and TESTED and honestly any remaining inventory should have substantial discounts. These pods literally lasted at most 2.5 weeks, unlike their claim of a a season or 200 hrs. They LEAK and evaporate, so I had these pods leaking onto my neighbors balcony, not only embarrassing but extremely unsafe since these are literally hazardous. And to make it worse, this is so incredibly expensive for what you get. I honestly do not know anyone willing to spend this much even if you have the funds. All the bad reviews were true and I wish I had believed them but I was desperate for a solution since mosquitos love me. What a waste of $$$

Rated 5 out of 5 by BlueAngel from Love these! I love these lights with big fighter protection. The refills are a bit expensive for only 3, but they are very effective. I even took them on a vacation to nags head North Carolina and we were able to sit on the deck with no mosquito bites. If you went outside the protection of the lights you would get bites. It was exactly what o was looking for, but budget wise would be nice to refill the little bug fighter pods.

Looks like the lid is removeable, Can you refil these with tiki tource fluid or anything else?

Thank you for your question! The BiteFighter Repellent Pods in the String Lights last for up to 200 hours. The Repellent Pod should not be disassembled and refueled. Once the repellent pod is out of fuel, dispose of the pod per your local municipality’s rules and regulations.  New repellent pods can be found on our website. We hope this helps. -TIKI Brand

How effective are your pods against No See Um’s, sand many’s?

How safe is this product for pets?

Can one refill the repellent reservoir with a more environmentally safe product? We are sensitive to most chemicals and use essential oils.
