Smoke…Pretty disappointed. This thing produced just as much smoke as any other fire pit when using firewood. The ads are pretty misleading. Wife isn’t happy. I’d prefer a refund.

Pyro SaraI just love my new fire pit! I have used several different fire pits over the years and love to sit outside by the fire. The best part about my new Tiki smokeless fire pit is that it is truly smokeless. No more moving around the pit to avoid the smoke blowing in your face. I bought the wood pellets and like those as well. The pellets starts the fire quickly and then I just add wood as the evening goes on. The Tiki radiates warmth so I can use it all winter long.

Well-made product, good design and valueWe wanted to get a fire pit for our re-landscaped back yard, someone recommended Solo. We spotted a Tiki fire pit for $73 on A*****.com and jumped at the too-good-to-be-true bargain ... turned out to be a scammer (our money was quickly refunded). We chose to purchase directly from Tikibrand.com and were enjoying our new patio 48 hours later in the warmth of our new fire pit. The Tiki 9-lb wood pellet packs are really clever and well-designed, their smokeless flames were around 3 feet high and lasted about 30 minutes (as advertised, the website photos are legit), and it was easy to add seasoned firewood to keep the fire going (smaller pieces under 16" long work best); the resulting fire will be smaller and more natural, throwing less heat and more smoke than the Tiki wood pellets. You can also purchase bulk 40-lb bags of plain wood pellets locally for under $7 if you want a hotter, smokeless fire for more than 30 minutes. A long-handled steel scoop or spoon works well for adding pellets into the burning fire pit.
I'm a retired engineer and a critical consumer, and I sincerely hope that the Tiki folks in Wisconsin continue to develop more solid products like this. There's probably a market for a BIG TIKI fire pit that can accommodate more/larger firewood, perhaps with a round iron firewood grate. I would also like to see Tiki offer a matching domed lid made of solid stainless steel that could be set on top of the fire pit to safely extinguish the fire and protect the combustion chamber from the elements (the waterproof cover sags in the middle, collecting precipitation and debris). The top Kickstarter package included a black domed screen that opened for adding fuel, some customers might want to purchase that from Tiki rather than gambling on the fit of an aftermarket product.

Round Bronze Smokless Fire Pitjust ok for me, price is too high for value (for me), pellet price ($5/30 min. of burn time) is too high. Flame peaks quickly and definitely dies out at the 25 min mark. Smokless feature works good enough. Bottom line for me is the price is too high for pit and pellets.

Good for quick stints in the yard...that's itIt lights fairly easily using any wood pellets found at your big box store. However, once you burn the first load, which dies in about 30 minutes, you have to add more pellets VERY slowly, otherwise, it will introduce a massive chimney of smoke, sometimes never returning to a proper burn, and just continuing to smolder.
So, if you're having a gathering, and you need this to burn for hours, it won't work. You will have to maintain a continual (every 5 minutes) flow of small amounts of pellets in order to maintain the flame. Otherwise, if you add just an ounce too much, it's a complete nightmare.

Awesome product that lives up to it's nameI purchased this to replace an older "regular" fire pit. I also purchased a number of the wood packs. Both the wood packs and the fire pit itself are great products. The fire pit is very sturdy and well made. It looks so nice I almost didn't want to get it dirty! I started with the wood pack and that worked great. Lights right up and lasted about 30 minutes as stated. On two occasions I added my own regular fire wood in as well. As long as you follow the directions and add the right sized wood and put it in when the fire is just going below the lip of the pit it worked great - no smoke at all. One of the times I waited a littlle too long to add some more wood and it caused a little smoke while the new wood was catching - but as soon as it lit the smoke was gone. Clean up is easy and even the included cover fits tight and keeps it dry in the rain.

What is the cone for? Do I need to keep it in while putting wood on top?
Asked by: Brett
Thanks for the question! The center cone is designed to create optimal burning conditions and airflow. The cone is what helps the Wood Pack ignite quickly, burn evenly, and deliver the predictable ~30-minute burn duration. You can place traditional firewood over the cone as well, up to 16 inches long so it fits within the fire pit bowl. If you will not be using a Wood Pack and want more room for firewood, you can start the fire without the cone (remove it before any burning begins). It can also be removed for cleaning. We hope this helps. – TIKI Brand

I’ve been using the fire pit since last summer and no matter what I use - tiki pellet packs, tiki wood, traditional firewood - we have normal smoke, similar to a traditional fire pit. What am I doing wrong and what should be done to reduce the smoke?
Asked by: TJF812
Thank you for your question! We apologize for this experience with your Fire Pit. We would recommend using the center cone when using Wood Packs. Smoke level is dependent upon the wood used and other varying burn conditions. If you plan on starting your fire with natural cut firewood, first remove the center cone from the Fire Pit. Stack kindling, newspaper, or a commercially-available fire starter in the center of the Fire Pit and place your larger pieces of wood around the fire starter. Be sure that the firewood doesn't stick over the edge of the Fire Pit as this affects secondary combustion, which results in more smoke. Please ensure that the Fire Pit Ash Pan is cleaned after every use. We hope this helps. -TIKI Brand

Hi! We love this fire pit. We used it twice -- once with Tiki pellets and once with seasoned, dry logs that were below the top of the pit. When burning the logs, there was exponentially more smoke -- about the same as a regular fire pit. Do you know why?
Asked by: Trish48
Thanks for the question! Smoke and ash level in general is dependent upon the wood used (we recommend our Wood Pack or dry, seasoned wood) and other varying burn conditions. This is why we created the Wood Pack along with our patent-pending airflow technology in the Fire Pit to create a low smoke fire when used together. Please ensure that when using firewood, the firewood sits below the holes near the top of the Fire Pit as this would affect secondary combustion. We also recommend emptying the Ash Pan after every use. We hope this helps. -TIKI Brand

Put a slice of bread in one side of the greased pudgie pie iron, spread chocolate or hazelnut, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs and add 1-2 marshmallows. Top with another slice of bread and close the iron. Cook over the fire for just 1 minute, turning occasionally. Open up the iron carefully and enjoy the ooey, gooey goodness!
