Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is it ok to use wood logs in the Fire Pit?

A. Yes. For best results, use dry, seasoned wood that has been split and cut to a length of 16 inches or less, so it fits within the Fire Pit bowl.

Q. How do I clean out the ash from the bottom of the Fire Pit?

A. Once the Fire Pit has completely cooled, remove the center cone and carefully sweep ash inside the Fire Pit through the bottom holes. Then, pull out the ash pan by its handle and dispose of the ash per your local laws/regulations.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome fire pit Nice fire pit for the price. The convenience of the wood pellets/pack and ash tray are a plus making starting a fire and clean up very easy. The included stand and cover are nice and cost extra with other fire pits in this price range.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What works If firewood is above the ring it’s not smokeless obviously.. the pellets worked great but do not last long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fire pit We love this fire pit. First saw and used one at my sister in law's home and had to get one for our backyard. Ease of use, effective design and perfect size are all reasons we chose the Tiki patio fire pit. We also thought this was esthetically more pleasing than the "advertised everywhere" solo stoves. The bag of wood pellets catch fire and provided about 45 minutes of smokeless flames.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fire Pit! Smoke free with wood pellet. It was still easy with firewood too (and the smoke was minimal). Loved the soothing cracking and that it burn all the way down and went into the ash collector. Very easy set up, sleek design- highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tiki Fire Pit Well made and high quality. Ash tray is very convenient. I wish to heat radius was a little bit larger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with our choice. We rented a house for a weekend that had a Solo stove that we enjoyed a great deal. When we got home we started researching firepits and chose the Tiki based on professional and buyer reviews. One of the reviews pointed out the the Tiki generated more radiant heat compared to the Solo and we've found that to be true. We also preferred the look of the Tiki as well as the removable ash tray. While no firepit is completely smokeless the Tiki's low smoke performance is as good as the Solo. The fire starts quickly and easily. After the first few minutes it's practically smokeless. We've been burning very well seasoned hardwood and haven't tried the pellets yet. We've had four fires lasting about 3 hours each.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Family Votes "Yes!" Burns wood easily. We did not use the fuel bag -- started right off with a real fire with no problems lighting or maintaining. The family was all impressed. Functional, durable and attractive - hard to find that combination.

Questions & Answers

The fire pit opening is a bit smaller then I realized and some logs do not fit. Is there a company that you recommend for smaller logs that are kiln dried?

Asked by: Andrew W
Thank you for reaching out! We recommend using dried, seasoned firewood that is cut to a length of no more than 16 inches if you do not plan on using the Wood Packs. We hope this helps. -TIKI Brand

Do you remove the cone AFTER the wood pellets have burned so you can lay a log flat on the pit? IF you don’t use bag o pellets rather you use dura flame type log- do you remove the cone?

Asked by: MaryA
Thanks for your question! If you've started your fire in the TIKI Fire Pit with the Wood Pack and want to keep the fire going with dry, seasoned firewood, do not remove the center cone as it will be extremely hot. Simply add firewood that is split and cut less than 16" in length on top of or to the side of the center cone. If you are using dry, seasoned firewood, you may remove the cone prior to starting the fire. We hope this helps! - TIKI Brand

Speaking of composite deck/trex. If one placed a fireproof mat on the deck, would that work.? Thanks.

Thanks for the question! The Fire Pit should not be used closer than 15 feet to any walls, structures or buildings, and should not be placed on any combustible surface such as wood, dry grass, leaves, or mulch. Flames may reach a height of 3 feet above the top of the Fire Pit. Further, the Fire Pit should not be used under a patio roof, any low-hanging branches, trellises, or overhangs of any kind including covered porches. Thanks! - TIKI Brand

The lowest branch of the tree that will be just above the fire pit is 9’. If we only used the wood pellets should that be safe? We are in San Diego which is a high fire area and are concerned about sparks. Our surface is decomposed granite.

Is the pit safe to use over a concrete surface without damaging the concrete?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thanks for the question! The Patio Fire Pit should not be placed on any combustible surfaces so a concrete surface should be suitable. If you are concerned about damaging the concrete, using a non-flammable, heat-resistant mat underneath the Fire Pit could help. We hope this helps! - TIKI Brand

S'MORE PLEASE!

For a twist, try making a Pudgie Pie S'more. Place cut firewood in your Fire Pit and grease a pudgie pie iron generously. Put a slice of bread in one side of the greased pudgie pie iron, spread chocolate or hazelnut, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs and add 1-2 marshmallows. Top with another slice of bread and close the iron. Cook over the fire for just 1 minute, turning occasionally. Open up the iron carefully and enjoy the ooey, gooey goodness!
