I had no idea how good this is...
For years I was skeptical of how well this would repel mosquitoes because friends had torches that as soon as they were lit we were immediately covered in oily soot. Plus we were still bothered by mosquitoes. But I finally decided I had to try something so we could enjoy the backyard. Bought some torches and tabletops and Bitefighter. Well son of a gun it REALLY works no more mosquitoes. And no oily spot at all, which I had forgotten about until yesterday when my friend lit his torches. Turns out he has always used a different product - I thought they were all the same. I convinced him to try Bitefighter for the cleaner burn and the mosquito repellent. Hopefully he will listen, and if he doesn't he will see the difference when he comes to our place. Great stuff.

I absolutely love using tiki touch and there fuel to help fight against misquotes and fly’s. We use this on cook outs and family and friends gathering. We also take it camping to help keep the pesky little things away. I do recommend this bite fighter torch fuel.

Works as described - I'm now in love with it!
Item works as described! Using on my back patio in So Cal, where we've had an excessive amount of mosquitos this season and it actually works! Purchased this along with a mixed-material-table-torch 3 pack; for an entire evening with a relativity large flame (which protected the entire sitting area) only half of one torch canister was exhausted. No issue with excessive smoke/scent or mosquito bites for that matter. I bought this in addition to more pail candles (which I had been using - other brand) and I think I'm forever sold on this - and I love the table torches themselves. I'll probably only purchase the candles when I have larger gatherings (eventually), but I'm sold on this torch fuel & table torches!! Great price when buying directly from their site too - cheaper than other sites like Amazon... and it was free shipping!!

Helps avoid mosquitoes
It really works to keep bugs away. I always get bitten by Mosquitoes in this seems to really keep them at bay. It does pour out quickly so I would suggest pouring into another container prior to putting it into your actual torch.

Bitefighter?
With a name like "bitefighter" we had high hopes, but even with burning it in 2 torches in a small area we still end up spending a minimal amount of time outside in the evenings because of the bugs eating us up.

Amazing!
This is such a great fuel, its a nice scent and helps significantly with keeping the mosquitos away. I have not been bitten once when we use this fuel. This also has a really long burn time, so you aren't constantly refilling and repurchasing. A little bit will go a long way! I would highly recommend picking this up and checking it out. Great brand, awesome product.

Best torch fluid on the market
My husband and I just bought a house and the first thing we did was buy items for the back yard which was tiki torches and this Bitefighter Torch fuel. This fuel keeps torches lit for hours and keeps the bugs away while we enjoy our evenings sitting out around the firepit having cocktails or just having conversation with friends and family This feul is the only one we'll buy.

Must have in Texas!
Everything is bigger in Texas, especially the bugs!! The mosquitos love my kids and we can breathe a sigh of relief when we are using BiteFighter in our torches! You can almost see the bugs flee as soon as we light them! It burns clean and keeps the bugs away for hours. We love it!!

I LOVE this fluid for my torches!! I fill them and light them and we are bug free all night! It’s such a perfect mood lifter to be able to spend family time and not worry about being bitten by the bugs! The kids are happy and having fun, so it really is perfect!!

Repels flying insects
I needed to replace the fuel in my torches but the store was out of the original so I picked up the bite fighter fuel instead. I really just thought it would be the same as all the other fuel, so I gave it a shot. Turns out this one has more of a citronella smell which helps reduce the number of flying insects around you. No more getting eaten alive by mosquitoes while your outside trying to enjoy time on the patio with your family.

Works fairly well
I live in an area that is prone to mosquitos. We've used this a few times in our tiki torches. It works well if you are a few feet away from it, but any further it's not much help.

How long before our party should we light the torches with bitefighter fuel for effective mosquito protection?

With so many factors - weather, wind, mosquito population - it's tough for us to give a number, but we recommend placing our torches about 4 feet apart, using TIKI Brand BiteFighter Torch Fuel and burning them for at least 30 minutes. Hope this helps!

How many feet will one standard Tiki Torch filled with Bitefighter reach?
I have a 12x12 (4) deck and a 12x24 (6) deck. I use the amount of torches listed in the () around the perimeter. If the wind is not bad those amounts of torches, with Bitefighter fuel, work great with keeping mosquitoes away. Hope that helps.
